The Syllabus !

Hey guys today this post is the top searched post on the web. People prepare for this exam but they fail many a times due to no proper planning. According to my experience proper planning is must but a hack for this exam that i consider to be the best is a sure shot tool to be successful in this exam.

So lets discuss the Syllabus!!

  Elitmus consists of the following:

 1. Quantitative Aptitude

  2. Data Interpretation/ Reasoning/ Problem Solving

  3. Verbal Ability

Note:

1. Each section has 20 questions and each question carries 10 marks i.e a total of 20 x 3= 60 Q i.e 60 x 10 = 600 marks.
2. All questions are MCQ types.
3. Syllabus is not defined so study well.
4. The topics given below surely come in the exam so focus now :p
5. Don't blame me if the exam pattern changes . This exam is not conducted be me .

Part A: Quantitative Aptitude (200 marks for 20 Q)

1. Number systems: 4-5 Q
2. AP GP Series: 1 Q
3. Averages: 0-1 Q
4. Percentages: 1 Q
5. Profit & Loss: 1 Q
6. Ratio, Proportion and Variation: 0-1 Q
7. Time and work: 2 Q
8. Time, Speed and Distance: 2 Q
9. Geometry: 4-5 Q
10. Quadratic Equations: 1-2 Q
11. Logarithms: 1 Q
12. Permutations and Combinations: 2-3 Q
13. Probability: 2-3 Q

Part B: Problem-solving (200 marks for 20 Q)

1. Data Sufficiency problems: 4 Q
2. Data Interpretation: 4 Q
3. Crypto arithmetic: 3 Q
4. Logical Reasoning Puzzles: 9 Q

 NOTE** Attempt crypto problems only if you are extremely good at it. Section B is toughest of all 3 sections.

Part C: Verbal Ability (200 marks for 20 Q)

1. Fill in the blanks: 6 Q
2. Jumbled paragraph questions: 2 Q
3. Reading comprehension: 3 para’s with 4Q each -> 12 Q

NOTE** Try to attempt the shorter 2 para(s) only, you won’t get time for the 3rd para.

Guys only 80+ percentile is needed in all the three sections if you want to get interview calls from good companies.  A  90+ percentile *$%$ what !! how is this possible!!!! damn he might be good !!! damn psycho!!!! leave that bullshit because anyone can get above 90+ percentile even if you put in 1 week of hard work. If you get this percentile then you sir can consider that you have cleared the first step. 

One good news. Only the percentile is shown to the companies and not marks so you need to focus on your accuracy . 

One more thing TUKKA BHIDANE KI GALTI MAT KARNA !!!!! If you aren't sure leave the damn question and proceed to the next but focus on accuracy because in the next post i will tell you how you can get 85+ easily only by attempting few questions from each section. 

Fold up your sleeves Sir because proper concentration dedication and hard work is needed. Sirf kismat kaam nahi karegi idhar !

Its basically up-to you if you are satisfied with the list of books provided here but yes these are recommended books you need to feed on for a month atleast (1 hafte mei bhi agr kayede se padho to kaam ho jayega)

3. Verbal Ability - Word power made easy (Search online for Reading Comprehension and do one daily)
